Naga's People
Naga tribes being born through its greater mother Mongoloids is emerged as a unique single tribe, further interdevided into various communities with distinct traditional attires, foods, colors, languages etc. But one chosen national domestic language speaks by Naga today is Nagamese.
Now coming to our view point focusing on traditional attires of Naga, has a unique blend of attires based on various communities of Naga representing thier own unique colours etc. Naga has major eleven communities comprises of Zeliang, Sema, Ao, Angami, Lotha, Chakhesang, Chang, Phom, khiumiungam, Rengma, Puchury, Yimchunger respectively. Most common attires of Naga are blended colored clothes, mixed seeded colored neckless, spear wields by men, feather caps in distinct designs and colorful woolen belts. They also wears traditional waist coats which is weaven arts of crossed spears on it, and they usually holds in their hands a horns or long bamboo cups as a manifestations of their traditional way to cheers sweet wines made of rice or wheat etc.
They also wear big ear rings made of collected bones beautifully designed and on their hands wears bangles made of interconnected animal bones or sometimes of bamboos. On their legs they wears rounded bamboo anklets beautifully painted. Some communities paints various tattoos on their bodies representing their emblem animal or bird. Some women, they carries a beautifully crafted baskets on their waist or backs. Men, on their waist hangs traditional Naga daos. Some communities blows horn trumpets while on their cultural dance.
Stripes of colors on their traditional clothes for both men and women. Woolen weaved colored clothes are very important traditional clothes of Naga. They usually carry traditional drums made from skins of animals. They are mostly barefooted while on their traditional attires. Some communities also wears colorfully weaved scarf and men wears a types of traditional woolen weaved colorfully designed skirts. And also, almost every communities wears neckless made of tooths and bones of animals or sometime made of bamboos.
In these way Nagas are richly called a blessed colorful unique tribe in which one can look back into ancient valuable craft and arts etc.
